Update on Botetourt Paranormal

Botetourt Paranormal attended the fall festival in Vesuvius during October. We met alot of very interesting people and heard alot of stories. We may have obtained a couple investigations to do but are waiting on the clients to get back in touch with us. We traveled to Stuarts Draft and Staunton during Halloween visiting with friends and meeting new potential clients. Botetourt Paranormal is also in the process of helping a class from Va. Western College with their paranormal project. This will be their final grade. We took them on an investigation to a residence we had investigated before. The night was amazing ! We got so many great EVP's. They are a great bunch of kids and are very receptive to the paranormal. We have several other investigations planned with them before their project is due. A VA Tech reporter has also contacted us to do an interview. She is interested in promoting us through the Blacksburg paper. We are also working with the Town of Fincastle on having a Ghost Tour in 2010. The tour would take you through the town to visit numerous locations that are haunted and that have urban legends associated with them. A news reporter from channel 7 news has contacted us to hear some of our interesting stories and see if we have anything news worthy.

Vesuvius Heritage Festival

Botetourt Paranormal will be present at the Vesuvius Heritage Festival on October 10, 2009. We will have a booth set up and will have a display of pictures and equipment. We will be running a slide show and playing EVP's for the public. The festival starts at 9 a.m. There will be plenty of homemade food and crafts. There will also be numerous yard sales throughout the town. We would love for you to stop by our booth, meet us and review our evidence. We will also have brochures on hand to familiarize you with what Botetourt Paranormal has to offer. Feel free to come by and discuss any questions or concerns you may have or to schedule an investigation. Look forward to seeing you.

Directions:
From Roanoke VA take 81-N to the Steeles Tavern Exit.Take a right off the exit and go to the stop sign. Take a left on RT.11- N. Take your immediate first right and follow that road till you see the vendors set up on your left before you cross the bridge at Vesuvius.

Botetourt Paranormal Updates

Two members of Botetourt Paranormal went to Bentonville Battlefield in Four Oaks N.C. on September 8, 2009. We toured the Union hospital and the grounds. During the Civil War this was the site of numerous casualties of war. We visited the Confederate cemetery and viewed the trenches. We performed several EVP sessions and took lots of pictures. This evidence isn't posted on the blog as of yet due to numerous scheduled investigations.

We also re-investigated The Kyle House in Historic Fincastle on September 22, 2009. Again, this evidence isn't posted on the blog. Check back in the near future for these results.

Botetourt Paranormal traveled to Gettysburg PA on September 25, 2009 . While there we took a break from the paranormal business and visited Hershey PA and Lancaster PA. We toured the Hershey Chocolate Factory and the Amish Country. On Sunday September 27, 2009 we toured the Gettysburg Battlefield including Devil's Den and Sachs Bridge. We performed numerous EVP sessions and took pictures.We also stopped by the Farnsworth House and the Cashtown Inn. We haven't finished reviewing this information as of this date. Please check back for the results.

Botetourt Paranormal investigated a private Bed & Breakfast in Rockbridge County on October 3, 2009. We have finished analizing this evidence and will post as soon as possible. We did capture numerous EVP's.

Upcoming Events for Botetourt Paranormal

First off Botetourt Paranormal is re-investigating a prime spot in Fincastle VA on September 22, 2009. We investigated here in January 2009 and captured some great pictures and EVP's. We are going to dedicate our time to mainly the 3rd floor this go round. This historic site has an unique history and we hear that the paranormal activity has increased recently. We are excited about this investigation.
Botetourt Paranormal is also investigating a Bed & Breakfast in Rockbridge VA on October 3, 2009. This residence has alot of paranormal activity happening on a daily basis. The client has seen and heard numerous indications of a spirits presence. She is very comfortable living there and seems to think the spirits are there looking out for her best interest. We are really anxious to get this residence investigated. Check back in the near future for our results.
Two of the Botetourt Paranormals team members will be traveling to Gettysburg PA on September 26- 27, 2009. There are numerous haunted places to see in Gettysburg and we hope to see as much as time will allow us. We hope to come home with some interesting pictures and EVP's. So check back and see what we brought back.
Botetourt Paranormal hopes to have a booth at the Buchanan Festival on October 3, 2009. Look for our booth and stop in to see some pictures and listen to some EVP's.
Botetourt Paranormal is also considering having a booth at the Vesuvious Heritage Festival on October 10, 2009. We have been asked to come and meet with the community and answer any questions they may have.

Results from Radford Investigation

Botetourt Paranormal investigated a Historic Landmark in Radford VA on August 15, 2009. We arrived at 6:30 p.m. and took a tour of the grounds and started setting up our equipment. We took several hundred pictures not really getting alot of evidence. Our night vision video camera did pick up some shadows of what looked like a soldier in an upstairs bedroom. The team went throughout the house and grounds performing EVP sessions. After reviewing our EVP evidence we did get some interesting stuff. From the basement we heard a man say " Hey " and a " SHHH " . One of our team members was doing an EVP session on the 3rd floor and caught on recorder someone saying " Hey Russell turn around ". This was interesting because the team members last name is Russell. That same team member was also touch on the side of the face by an unknown entity. We also caught another team members first name being called several times on the 3rd floor. All in all it was a pretty good investigation. We packed up and left around 11:00 p.m.

Upcoming Investigation on August 15, 2009

Botetourt Paranormal has an investigation in the Radford area at a private residence. This residence is on the Virginia Register of Historic Places. The original structure was built in the 1840's. Several other teams have investigated there and come away with shocking evidence. This residence is ranked as the 4th most haunted place in America by the Sci-Fi Channel. We are very excited about having the chance to investigate this highly esteemed residence. So keep checking back for the results of our investigation.

Results of August 1, 2009 Investigation

Botetourt Paranormal investigated a private residence on August 1, 2009 in Botetourt County. The team arrived around 7 p.m. After a tour of the property and a brief overview of the paranormal activity that had taken place the team began unloading equipment. After we had taken several hundred pictures and performed several EVP sessions the team joined the client for a meeting to go over details of the night. During the conversation it was brought up why the young man on the back porch had not joined us that evening. We assumed it was a family member of the client. The client stated that the only person in the house was her mother and no one else. We then began comparing stories. Our first member was setting up cameras and looked up and saw a young man on the back porch. When the man saw that he was noticed he turned to go in the house. After some time a second team member was walking up the road to the house and saw a young man again on the back porch. He had on a tan shirt and short blondish hair. When noticed he went towards the door. Our third member was standing in the driveway and looked and saw a young man on the porch. Again he went towards the door when noticed. The 3 members had not told anyone of these sightings because to us it was a person just seeing what we were doing. The members agreed on what the man was wearing and the color of his hair. The client firmly stated that her mother had on a green bathrobe and had not been out of the house all night. So what was it that we saw ? It looked like a real flesh and blood person. After concluding our meeting with the client we decided that we had seen an apparition. We were very excited that 3 members got the chance to experience this. Our pictures turned up some really good orbs and captured a few EVPs. At some point in the night 2 of our members heard what sounded like walking in the gravel. We have been invited to investigate there again soon.
